In preparing Reagan’s cereal yesterday, I noticed this recipe for meatloaf on the back of the box:
1 2nd Foods Green Beans
1 2nd Foods Garden Vegetables
1 pound ground chuck
1 cup Gerber Oatmeal cereal
1 egg, beaten
¼ cup ketchup
1 ½ Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. Garlic powder
So maybe a few of the ingredients are a bit adventurous for a toddler, but okay. That is until I realized that this meal is not just intended for the under-1 set. This is a recipe for an actual entrée intended for adults! I have a hard enough time serving these jars to my infant - I can’t imagine subjecting the rest of my family to the same strange smells and textures. But you have to admire Gerber’s ingenuity!

wow...that's gross...although one jar of each of the foods isn't all that much with a pound of meat...but still!!
Um...ewww. I'll just stick to my regular meat loaf recipe. I wonder who had to taste test that recipe until they got it right?
YUCK! What the heck? Is that supposed to make people buy more baby food? Meat mush loaf?
That sounds bad--even if you're someone like me who loves meatloaf! But...I found a recipe that sounds really good. I know Danny and Brian don't like meatloaf, but they might enjoy this one--it has a "secret" ingredient. Let's try it soon.
Love, Mom
YUCK! I'm assuming you did not serve it up for dinner. :)
eeeeeeewww, I think I'll have to pass on that one. You can have some for me. lol
